Launch of climate change and energy seminars series
We are pleased to inform you that, starting in February, the Quebec Carbon Institute (IQCarbone) and the McGill Law, Governance and Sustainability Lab are organizing a series of lunchtime seminars (12h00 to 13h30) on climate change and energy to be held one Tuesday per month from February through April.
Open to the public, this seminar series gathers eminent scholars engaged in the fields of climate change and energy in Quebec. The seminars will provide a unique opportunity for interested persons to come together to discuss climate and energy issues with experts.
We invite you to the seminars at Ouranos offices (550 Sherbrooke West, West Tower, 18th floor). The meetings will include two presentations of 45 minutes each. Please consult the program below for more details on the guest speakers and the topics covered.
Since the seminars are intended to provide a platform for exchanging ideas with regards to climate and energy policy and technology, we believe that this opportunity will provide an enriching experience for all participants. Presentations will be given in either French or English, though questions and comments in either language are welcome. To encourage a frank discussion of ideas, the Chatham House rule will apply.
While no payment is required, we request that you use reserve a place with our Eventbrite system. Space will be limited. Light refreshments will be served, though please feel free to bring your lunch.
